Yes! You read that correctly.  Body Renew Fitness and Tanning now offers Personal Training online.  Were all here for the same reasons right? To get fit and stay healthy.  Some of us just do a better job of staying consistent and being motivated.  I truly believe that everyone benefits from the accountability, motivation and consistency that a Personal Trainer brings to a workout program.  I practice exactly what I preach.  I have two trainers.  Shay Massey trains me 6 times a week (Mon through Sat at 8:30 in the morning).  She keeps my program different every single day, keeps me focused on my goals, my exercises and the reason I wanted to stay in shape.  I am able to simply show up and not even have to think about what I have to do.  I have another trainer that gives me high intensity non stop training 3 days a week at 2:00.  He pushes me to that limit that my body just can't handle 6 days a week.  I leave out of breath, tired and feeling like I just took on the world.  There are days I just don't have the energy or desire to go to the gym to workout.  Yet, I still manage to show up because I have an appointment with my trainer.  I know that I won't allow myself to let them down by not being there.

Are you looking to trim fat, lose love handles, and flatten your belly? We hear a lot about dieting and cutting back our calories to lose weight, but we don't just want to lose weight, we also want to lose fat... and fast!

In a nut shell, without exercising, much of the weight you lose will be muscle, not fat, and your metabolism will slow. The more muscle you have the faster your metabolism burns.  To lose fat, you’ll need to add more exercise to your weight loss program. Try increasing your workout routine to at least 3 days per week for 1 hour each day. Or for faster results up that to even 5 days a week.  Aim to get your heart rate into that cardio fat burning zone of 60% - 70% of your maximum heart rate (max heart rate = 220 - your age) for at least 30 minutes each workout and do a variety of strength training exercises for at least 20 minutes.  You can best accomplish this by combining your resistenence workout with your cardio.  Try circuit training or super setting your exercises.  Concentrate on moving fast between exercises and not allowing yourself to rest.

Is there such a thing as a good time or bad time to eat? Will your body add pounds if you feed it at the wrong time, or will you binge if you miss the window of time to stave off a craving? Because everybody has a theory about when and when not to eat, we asked our team of experts to separate the myths from the facts and to define mealtime.

The Theory: Don't eat carbohydrates after 8:00 P.M. because you'll never burn them off.

The Reality: "The rationale here is that, at night, our bodies won't use up the fuel we eat because we're not very active (in fact, we're usually asleep). To some extent this is true. If we don't use the calories we take in, they are temporarily stored in the muscles or liver, whether they come from carbohydrates, protein, or dietary fat. Luckily, the calories in/calories out ledger doesn't close every night and start fresh the next day; you can use the calories the next morning.  You won't experience weight gain unless you consistently take in more calories than you use." Says Dakota Routh, CEO of Body Renew Fitness & Tanning.
